Designer Monica Förster seeks not only function, but also the poetry of things — that which awakens a sense of wonder. The designer / Monica Förster
Monica Förster is a Stockholm-based designer whose work moves between furniture, glass, textiles and everyday objects. Whether designing cutlery or hand-carved bowls, she brings a curiosity for materials, production techniques and the possibilities of form.
Her approach combines sculptural thinking with a close understanding of how things are made, often finding new expressions through experimentation and collaboration. Her work is represented in the collection of Nationalmuseum in Stockholm and has been exhibited internationally.
