The design of the Big Sur large table is restrained and unpretentious, allowing the materials—glass and solid oak—as much freedom as possible. It brings to mind California Mid-Century Modern, where warm natural materials often appear alongside materials such as concrete and glass. This association is reinforced by the name. Simon Klenell and Kristoffer Sundin are Swedish designers whose collaborative work reflects a shared commitment to material exploration, structural clarity and contemporary Scandinavian restraint.
