Simon Klenell and Kristoffer Sundin
Two Swedish designers whose collaborative work reflects a shared commitment to material exploration, structural clarity and contemporary Scandinavian restraint. Both educated at Konstfack in Stockholm, they combine deep knowledge of craft with an industrial design mindset, creating objects that balance experimentation and precision.

Big Sur High table, designed by Simon Klenell & Kristoffer Sundin in 2017.

Simon Klenell is widely recognized for his innovative work in glass, often exploring transparency, distortion and optical layering. Kristoffer Sundin’s background in furniture and product design brings a strong focus on construction, proportion and user interaction. Together, their collaboration merges expressive material sensibility with architectural discipline.
This synthesis is clearly expressed in the Big Sur table series. Defined by bold geometry and carefully resolved construction, Big Sur plays with scale and balance. Solid surfaces meet distinct structural elements in a way that feels both grounded and graphic. The tables carry a sculptural presence, yet remain highly functional — a dialogue between mass and refinement. The series demonstrates how the duo transform simple forms into objects with strong identity through proportion, detailing and material honesty.
Across their work, there is a shared interest in allowing material and structure to guide the design rather than imposing unnecessary decoration. The result is furniture that feels confident, tactile and enduring — rooted in Scandinavian tradition, yet distinctly contemporary.
