Big Sur Coffee Table High
Named after the Californian coastline where the Pacific Ocean dramatically meets the cliffs of the Santa Lucia Mountains.
About
The design of the Big Sur Coffee Table High is restrained and unpretentious, allowing the materials – glass and solid oak – as much freedom as possible. It brings to mind California Mid-Century Modern, where warm natural materials often appear alongside materials such as concrete and glass. This association is reinforced by the name. The table is named after the famous stretch of coastline in California, where the waves of the Pacific Ocean crash against the cliffs of the Santa Lucia Mountains – a dramatic meeting of two elements.

The designers / Klenell & Sundin
Simon Klenell and Kristoffer Sundin are Swedish designers whose collaboration brings together different perspectives on materials, form and construction.
Klenell's background in glassmaking gives him a particular interest in how materials behave, from transparency and reflection to the unexpected effects of a surface. Sundin brings an understanding of furniture design, proportion and structure. Together, they explore what happens when these approaches meet, allowing experimentation and craftsmanship to shape the finished object.
