This is a table that is both sophisticated – with its thin tabletop – and dynamic in its interplay of horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines. Both the woodwork and the metalwork are executed with the greatest care by highly skilled craftspeople.

With the Supper table series, several of Andreas Engesvik’s characteristic qualities as a designer become clearly apparent. Here we find visual lightness, precision craftsmanship, and the perfect balance between the materials: oak veneer and steel. The detailing is of the highest class. Note in particular the gently rounded edge of the tabletop and the beautiful line that appears where the tabletops of the extendable tables meet.

A designer is someone who looks at the world of objects with curiosity, seeking to understand how things work, while also noticing what is missing and what could be improved. This curiosity is clearly seen in Andreas Engesvik’s work. He explores new ways of approaching materials and making use of their properties – always with a strong focus on what it is like to use and live with the furniture he creates. Take Bollo, for example – a bold piece of furniture, certainly, yet at the same time a pleasure to sit in. A little like a slightly eccentric outfit that fits perfectly, making you feel both comfortable and special at once.
