Dini Sofa

The reference to Marcello Gandini is present in the attitude rather than in any literal expression. A sense of precision, openness, and quiet boldness runs through the design, giving it a character that feels both composed and expressive.

About

Some sofas invite you to sit back. Others ask you to take space. Designed by Andreas Engesvik, Dini carries a certain confidence in its form. Wide, open, and clearly defined, it offers a place to sit without restriction, where the body can shift naturally and settle in different ways. Its low back and generous proportions create a relaxed posture, allowing arms to rest freely and movement to remain unforced. The design draws on a mid-century clarity, where structure is evident but never rigid, and where comfort comes from proportion rather than excess.

The designer / Andreas Engesvik

A designer is someone who looks at the world of objects with curiosity, seeking to understand how things work, while also noticing what is missing and what could be improved. This curiosity is clearly seen in Andreas Engesvik’s work. He explores new ways of approaching materials and making use of their properties – always with a strong focus on what it is like to use and live with the furniture he creates. Take Bollo, for example – a bold piece of furniture, certainly, yet at the same time a pleasure to sit in. A little like a slightly eccentric outfit that fits perfectly, making you feel both comfortable and special at once.
