Craftsmanship plays a central role in the making of Pastille. The wooden top is carefully shaped and finished, while the metal legs provide a clear and defined frame. The materials remain visible and honest, each contributing to the overall expression.
About
A small table can carry more than its size suggests. Designed by TAF Studio, Pastille brings together slim lines and solid forms in a compact and carefully balanced piece. Its rounded tabletop gives the table its name, a soft, tablet-like shape that sits in contrast to the slender metal base. The design is built around this meeting of opposites. A solid oak top rests on a light metal structure, creating a sense of both stability and lightness. The proportions are precise, allowing the table to feel grounded without becoming heavy.

The designers / TAF
Stockholm-based TAF Studio was founded in 2002 by Gabriella Lenke and Mattias Ståhlbom, who began collaborating while studying at Konstfack. The studio works with furniture and lighting design, alongside exhibition design and interior architecture. Their work includes projects for institutions such as the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm and the cultural centre Institut suédois in Paris, as well as collaborations with companies including Fogia, Muuto, Artek and String. In 2017, TAF Studio received the Bruno Mathsson Award in recognition of its practice.
