The designer / Bo Westerdahl
Bo Westerdahl is a Swedish furniture designer whose work brings together craftsmanship, function and an understanding of production. Trained in furniture design and cabinetmaking at Carl Malmsten's school in Stockholm, he has spent much of his career moving between design, product development and creative direction.
His approach often begins with pencil and paper, sometimes followed by small wooden models to explore an idea. For Westerdahl, materials and construction are part of the creative process, shaping furniture that is made to be used and lived with.
