Flora Armchair

The Flora Armchair is the result of a collaboration between furniture maker Fogia, chef and restaurateur Esben Holmboe Bang – the man behind Oslo’s three-star restaurant, Maaemo – and Grung Engesvik, the design studio founded by Andreas Engesvik and Jannicke Grung. The aim was to create the ultimate dining chair: one that you can sit in for a very long time, without ever feeling the slightest bit uncomfortable. The guiding scenario in creating the Flora chair was, quite simply, an evening at a world-class restaurant, where you leisurely and contemplatively savour a carefully conceived composition of dishes, prepared with great care and meticulous precision.
