Cube Vase, Tall

Cube is shaped in the moment where molten glass settles, its surface marked by subtle vibrations and shifting colour, making each vase quietly distinct.

About

Glass holds a moment. Not fixed, but slowed down. With its taller and more open form, Cube Vase Tall allows fuller bouquets and longer stems to unfold more freely. The wider neck changes the character of the vase entirely – wider, more expansive – while the softened geometry of the cube-shaped base remains unchanged. Designed by Carina Seth Andersson and made by hand at Skruf Glasbruk in Småland, Sweden, each vase carries the marks of its making. As the molten glass settles into the mould, subtle vibrations form a soft relief across the surface, reminiscent of rings on water. The colours gather and shift within the material, creating depth rather than uniformity.

The designer / Carina Seth Andersson

Carina Seth Andersson is one of Sweden’s most respected contemporary designers, known for her refined and quietly expressive work in glass, ceramic and everyday objects. Educated at Konstfack in Stockholm and the Royal College of Art in London, she has developed a practice where clarity of form and material sensitivity are central. Her work often begins with simple geometries – cylinders, cones, cubes – which she subtly adjusts the proportion, thickness and surface of to create presence without excess.
