Glass holds a moment. Not fixed, but slowed down. In its smaller scale, Cube Vase Small feels almost intimate – shaped for a single stem, a small branch, or simply the shifting light within the glass itself. The slightly taller neck gives the vase a more upright and delicate expression, balancing the softened geometry of the cube-shaped base. Designed by Carina Seth Andersson and made by hand at Skruf Glassworks in Småland, Sweden, each vase carries the marks of its making. As the molten glass settles into the mould, subtle vibrations form a soft relief across the surface, reminiscent of rings on water. The colours gather and shift within the material, creating depth rather than uniformity.

The designer / Carina Seth Andersson
Carina Seth Andersson is one of Sweden’s most respected contemporary designers, known for her refined and quietly expressive work in glass, ceramic and everyday objects. Educated at Konstfack in Stockholm and the Royal College of Art in London, she has developed a practice where clarity of form and material sensitivity are central. Her work often begins with simple geometries – cylinders, cones, cubes – which she subtly adjusts the proportion, thickness and surface of to create presence without excess.
