Perfect Storm

Dubbed the ‘concrete bunker’ due to its heavy use of rendered finishes and textural interiors, Perfect Storm is a dramatic apartment in Camperdown, Sydney.

Created by architect Killing Matt Woods, the project’s clients both work in ‘design’ and wanted to shed the unnecessary trappings of the lives and reduce things back to the essentials. Free of clutter and visual noise.

The space is very open plan, with a brutalist edge with basic materials crafted and manipulated into geometric forms and monoliths but still feeling homely and warm.

The project has, unsurprisingly, been a huge social media hit, with Bollo taking a supporting role in the pitch perfect interiors.
