Barba Club Sofa
Barba’s comforting curves and joyful shape lend a striking presence to any space. It is strong, soft and sturdy, with a cloud-like form that is immediately relaxing.
Barba is inspired by the French word for candyfloss – and those synonymous blob-shaped cartoon characters much-loved by generations of children. Its skirt is designed with a commanding low-to-the-ground drop in homage to the characters’ shapes.

Our Own Factory
Our furniture is handmade to order in our own factory in Gdansk, Poland. Our stools, footrests and poufs are made according to the highest standards, combining the expertise of our designer collaborators and the skilled artisans working in our factory. We work with fine materials and fabrics, while an on-site sawmill ensures we have greater control of the wood we use. Fathers, down and leathers in our upholstery are repurposed bi-products from other industries.

At the helm of his eponymous studio since 2010, he is the creative mind behind our much-loved Tiki, Dini, Bollo and Barba designs. Engesvik’s discerning eye has played a significant part in shaping contemporary Scandinavian design today and nurturing future talent.
